"I always make a mistake there!?" is the refrain I have heard through decades of piano teaching. Through experimentation, trial and error attempts on unsuspecting students, and prolongued consideration, I finally arrived at the most effective way to learn pieces at the piano.
The solution which works is disarmingly simple--and shocking. Our learning should involve TWO PHASES--Phase 1, the 'programming phase,' and phase 2, the 'playing phase.' The method includes such strange guidelines as, "Do not play in rhythm during the learning phase," "Do not correct your errors," and more.
Join this class--limited to 4--as a teacher or as a student. You'll be amazed and full of consternation you didn't know this years ago! You'll develop a more secure and confident approach to learning even tough pieces, and feel liberated from years of poor methods taught by well-meaning teachers. I predict that if you are a teacher, this knowledge will revolutionize your approach, as it did mine.
