Private Piano, Voice, Music Theory, Solfege, Composition, Conducting Lessons

Miss Tess' Music Studio offers lessons for the creative gamut of any musician. I've worked with four-year-olds and sixty-year-olds. Lessons are geared towards the interest of the individual and strive to support any obvious strengths while also exploring unknown fields.

  • "A Wonderful Gift For Teaching"

Review of Private Piano, Voice, Music Theory, Solfege, Composition, Conducting Lessons, June 25, 2008

As one of Miss Tess' colleagues, I've had the opportunity to eavesdrop on quite a few of her lessons. Over time, I have developed an immense sense of admiration for her and her love of music.

Her infectious smile and warm demeanor seem to put even the most nervous students into a state of calm readiness to perform and learn. As other reviews have stated, her lessons are very individualized, with consideration for students' goals, tastes, learning styles, physiology, and more. I'm perpetually surprised by her ability to coax astonishing results and dedication from her students without being stern or intimidating.

Students of all ages and levels of development benefit from her immense breadth of knowledge and formal training. But what truly distinguishes Miss Tess is the spirit with which she teaches and relates to her students.

Miss Tess is a wonderful teacher and an excellent role model for young musicians. She's my first recommendation!

  • "MIss Tess is the best!"

Review of Private Piano, Voice, Music Theory, Solfege, Composition, Conducting Lessons, June 17, 2008

I have learned so much from Miss Tess. After more than 150 lessons, Tess has been one of the most influential forces in my musical education. The thing I like most about my lessons with Miss Tess is that she makes our time fun, and we play games and chat and such. But I learn so much at the same time.
