If you are reading this you may have already tried several other modalities to help with whatever pain you are experiencing. You know yoga is powerful, healing stuff & you want to know specifically how Yoga THerapy can help you. There are several ways yoga can assist you - of course, it's all based upon what is going on with you right now.

If you have any questions about your situation & how Yoga Therapy could help you specifically, send me an email & I'll get back to you right away - ****.
There's no charge, no commitment & I will not use your email without your permission. So it doesn't hurt to ask.

Powerful, transformational, compassionate & effective - non exercise yoga. Releasing tension by using supported angles that you can relax into. It's easy to relax when your body is supported. When your bones are 'at rest' (supported/aligned) then the muscles connected to your bones get the message "it's ok to soften". This cannot be accomplished by pushing, or stretching - resisting or contracting. You are learning to bring your body into natural balance via leaning into your bones, using the muscles of the arms, legs, abdominals, instead of using spinal muscles for every movement. We even use our spines (tighten our spinal muscles) when we brush our teeth! Do we need to use spinal muscles to brush our teeth?

Yoga Therapy sessions are tailored to specifically address what's going on with you. If you have back pain, neck/shoulder pain, knee issues, any pain whatsoever you may find Yoga Therapy an effective tool for managing your situation. You may want to start with doing some Yoga Therapy sessions to get some changes in your body, and then you would be working toward incorporating a yoga practice into your day. Starting with a simple sequence which takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do. After that joining a class would be a great way to continue to get changes & sustain the changes in your body/mind/spirit.

More on Svaroopa:

The approach is simple, not forceful and promotes/evokes bliss.

New to yoga? here's some good news - you don't need to be flexible or athletic to do yoga.

Svaroopa® Yoga - the essence of your being, that's Svaroopa.

This practice strips away the layers of tension; the contraction melts way as you learn how to soften into supported angles. The angles are precise & reliable. Suitable for all levels of yogi's, from beginners to advanced yogis

Those who meditate love Svaroopa® Yoga. The reason - they are able to sit longer in meditation after they do a Svaroopa sequence up the spine. The body is open & comfortable, therefore it is easier to sit for longer periods of time.

Experienced yogi's will also enjoy the way this gentle practice has such a profound affect on the body/mind - and you don't have to work so hard!

Yoga Sutra's as translated by B.K.S Iyengar - this is chapter 2 -47. Perfection in an asana is achieved when the effort to perform it becomes effortless and the infinite being within is reached

Of course, there are different approaches or ways to achieve this goal of effortlessness. Svaroopa® Yoga seems to excel at teaching this philosophy, which flies in the face of much of what we have learned about fitness & strength & even yoga.

This is another way to describe Svaroopa® Yoga poses - We use simple poses in a way that reaches into your spine & releases tension in the muscles connected to the spine. We start by releasing the tension at the base of your spine (the tailbone) & then do a pose for each part of the spine in sequence. The result is a more flexible, relaxed, decompressed spinal column, which has an affect throughout your entire body - but more importantly, the changes in your body have a profound affect on your mind and emotions and even more......
