Standing meditation is the single most powerful core practice for anyone wishing to explore any of the Taoist Internal Energy Arts of tai chi, qigong, hsing i, and ba gua. It can lower blood pressure,enhance circulation, relieve stress, promote clarity of mind and make the body very strong. Standing is taught in conjunction with moving exercises cloud hands, the tai chi spinal stretch and three swings.
