Tai Chi is a powerful holistic tool which will help you regain your focus, energy and enthusiasm. A series of carefully-programmed, gentle movements encourage circulation, increase flexibility and coordination and reduce tension throughout the body. Drawn from the ancient wisdom of Taoism and Confucianism, Tai Chi, a softstyle of martial arts, allows you to experience the flow of your life energy or Chi (also called Qi). This powerful awareness supports you in living fully in the present. As you notice yourself slipping into frustration and worry, the practice of Tai Chi will allow you to return to a centered and calm presence.

Stress can block the flow of Chi leading to injury and illness. Tai Chi’s graceful forms incorporate deep breathing, relaxation and a full range of movement to release blocked energy and allow Chi to flow naturally again. This develops vitality, mental calm and clarity.

Review of Balance n Harmony, November 20, 2009

Erin's style is laid back and relaxed, but she knows how to challenge you if that's what you want too. Her style is gentle while getting a good workout. Even with an injured SI and some weak joint issues she was able to teach me in a way that I felt confident I wouldn't get injured, but kept me moving forward in the practice. I highly recommend her.

Nic has a flexible style of teaching. He is able to utilize the various strengths of his students and then expand their understanding of music. He teaches a good mix of playing by ear and music theory.
