Review of Literacy for Little Learners, August 20, 2009
We began the search for a tutor for our son just before his 4th birthday. Our main objective for engaging a tutor was for him to work on his gross motor skills to include: writing, using scissors, zipping his coat etc. We also wanted him to be introduced to reading. Karen did an amazing job working with our son on his gross motors skills. She would bring in a variety of activities that would indeed prove to be a huge help in developing in his skills and his ability to cut on straight line. She also worked with him on his reading. In a little less than 8 months are son has gone from not being interested in reading to avid reader. He enjoys reading and being read to. He has created a few books of his own during some of Miss Karen's wonderful sessions. He never views his time with Miss Karen as work because she makes it very fun, interactive, diverse and engaging. We are very thankful to have found Miss Karen and would give her a strong recommendation..
