I am a Egyptian Classic style belly dance teacher and Egyptian restaurant owner in San Francisco, California.
I offer a 4-hour luncheon at my restaurant (Al-Masri Egyptian Restaurant) that includes a belly dance lesson, lunch (appetizers, salad, main entree with rice pilaf and vegetable,and dessert), a lecture with video on Egyptian belly dance and its history, and a live performance. This luncheon is geared to women only, young and old; males may attend but must be respectful.
The price of this luncheon is $25 per person which includes the belly dance lesson, lunch, history/video lecture, and actual performance. A minimum of 10 people is required, or $250 if less than ten people sign up. Tax is included in the luncheon price, but gratuity is not included.
The following is a suggested agenda (times are open for change):
11:30 - Meet-up and Get Acquainted
12:00 - Belly Dance Lesson
1:00 - Lunch (appetizers with pita bread, salad, entree with
rice pilaf and vegetable)
2:15 - Dessert with Coffee and or Mint Tea
2:30 - History Lesson with Video and Question/Answer Period.
3:15 - Belly Dance Performance
3:30 - Farewells and Information exchange.
The luncheon date can be of your choice; however Sundays seem to be the perfect day for this kind of thing. You may choose any day of the week -- Monday through Saturday.
The Gathering for Belly Dance Fun and Education may also be scheduled as a dinner event on any evening except Fridays and Saturday evenings. If a Friday or Saturday evening is important, contact me for arrangements.
I have hosted a several of events like this and they have been very successful.

Sausan has been involved in the performing arts since age three. She has studied Flamenco, Servillanas, Thai Classical...
Sausan has been involved in the performing arts since age three. She has studied Flamenco, Servillanas, Thai Classical, English Highland, and Egyptian style Belly Dance. Sausan's first class in belly dance in 1974 was with Jodette of Sacramento who had, herself, studied with the Egyptian gypsies while she was a young girl. She was with Jodette for three years after which she ventured to San Francisco and began studying with Nakish.
Sausan has performed all over the world and now teaches Classic Egyptian Style (CES) Belly Dance which is the foundation to all belly dance. She has discovered and registered the "nephis" of the dance calling it the Egyptian Dance Code®, and registering it with the U.S. Patent Office.
Sausan is also the owner of the only Egyptian Restaurant in Northern California.
