Jake Blackshear has been teaching privately for over six years. He holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University where he received the Outstanding Music Graduate Award in 2002. He has a positive attitude and a patient teaching style which is very effective.
Jake Blackshear also has experience teaching in the classroom. He was an adjunct music instructor at Miramar College in San Diego in the spring of 2006. Before that he worked as a music teacher at Hill Middle School in Novato CA 2004.
