Fran Lukas has been playing saxophone since age 12 and teaching at Music Center since 1997. She studied music at Central Michigan University and Shoreline Community College, and recently completed the Band Instrument Repair Technology program at Renton Technical College. Fran has performed with the Northwest Mahler Orchestra, the Washington Wind Symphony, the Dudley Manlove Quartet, Mambo 9, Cubata, Batambo, Aluminum Toast, and is currently a member of the Firebird Saxophone Ensemble. She is furthering her study of woodwind repair at Granlund Woodwinds in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood.
