I love the saxophone, and my students do too. I specialize in working with intermediate and advanced saxophonists, although I also will work with beginners on occasion. I am experienced with all the saxophones from small to large, and while I am primarily a classical musician, I can teach jazz fundamentals too if the student is interested. If you want help preparing for an audition or contest, or if you simply want to develop your ability on the instrument, I can help. I am an experienced instructor, having served on the woodwinds faculty at University of San Diego and San Diego State University, and I hold a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of Washington. I also teach clarinet lessons, and I invite you to check out my website at www.jayeaston.com to see what I've been up to recently.
