Description

All persons welcome whether you weave, knit, or not.

This three-hour experiential workshop is designed to empower both injured and healthy participants to take control of their musculoskeletal health using an innovative approach for both prevention and symptom relief from existing carpal tunnel and other repetitive strain injuries (RSI). It addresses an area almost universally omitted from all stretching programs – an understanding of fascia, its role in healthy movement and its vulnerability to injury in repetitive activities. Through a gentle series of personally customizable exercises, participants are invited to proactively engage in their own physical well-being.

Educational Objectives:

Participants will:

1. Begin thinking "outside the box" regarding healing, symptom relief, and prevention.

2. Receive an introduction to soft tissue anatomy and the nature of repetitive injury.

3. Learn a system of self-care they can use to raise their immunity to RSI, or to very effectively minimize symptoms if they are already injured.

4. Learn a highly effective series of gentle exercises, then learn how to customize a plan to address specific repetitive symptoms they are experiencing, or learn a prevention plan by profession.

5. Receive a textbook and workbook to serve as a reference and to reinforce learning after they leave the workshop.

6. Additional benefits include a sense of empowerment and accountability around one’s own self-care, relief from worry about getting an RSI, or relief from depression if already injured.
