Description
I'm an animator/filmmaker who loves working with kids. I've run fun animation workshops and am now doing private tutoring. I'm looking for a few more students to fill up my schedule.
I can come over to your house and help your child become an expert in: stop frame animation (clay, paper cutouts, drawn animation), comic book designing in Photoshop (and all the other things photoshop is great for), computer animation using Flash, and live action filmmaking. With Macs we would use iStopMotion, iMovie, iDVD, and of course, we can move up to Final Cut Pro and more advanced programs if possible.
I can adapt to PCs, using equivalent programs like the basic Windows Movie Maker, moving up to Animator DV and Adobe Premiere if possible.
These classes are fun and tailored to your child's interests!
I live in the Beacon Hill area but am able to travel (two of my students now live on Bainbridge Island).
This could be a great addition to your child's education!
Please have a look at my website to get to know me a little better:

Hope to hear from you soon!
Schedule
No class times listed. Please contact the instructor to schedule a session.
Pricing Details
If your child wants to get together with one or two friends to do the classes together this is also possible. I charge $35 an hour for one-on-one, $30 an hour for two students at a time, and $25 for three.

"Adobe Premiere tutoring"
Review of Tess Martin , November 13, 2008
I contacted Tess after reading an ad she posted on Craigslist. I wanted some help to create a time lapse video clip of a staircase project I had done. She said she liked working with kids of all ages and after a few emaiI exchanges I felt confident she could handle an old fart like myself with limited computer skills. So we set some dates for four 2 hour sessions that worked for both of us and she had the flexibility to add another day to our schedule when the project needed an extra day to complete..
She always arrived on time and was ready to get to work. She was a great teacher and took me from completely baffled with Premiere Elements to considerably less baffled. She was very patient with my computer ineptness and always endeavoured to make all of my failures a teachable moment. I still have a ways to go before I can say I have dialed in Elements but she helped me out with what I needed to learn to complete this project and other skills I can build on. I would recommend Tess for anyone seeking an enthusiastic self starter with a knack for film and editing and teaching.
Give Tess a call, She was a hoot. Plus she loved my cat.BjR
