Seattle, WA

Ages:
All ages
Skill level:
Beginner, Intermediate
Class Style:
1:1 Private Sessions & Group Sessions

Description

Thinking about making a movie? It helps to start out with a storyboard (a series of rough drawings showing what you plan to film.) You don't need to be an artist to draw a storyboard, you just need to be able to sketch well enough to get your ideas across.

In this class you'll learn how storyboards work, get some basic drawing instruction to help you get started, and get some practice drawing them. (We'll also compare some storyboards, frame by frame, with the movies that were made from them, to get a clearer idea of what the choices are.) Our goal will NOT be to create the most beautifully drawn boards in the world, but to get some practical experience in getting a sketch down on paper that suggests what you're trying to communicate. No previous drawing experience is necessary. Nils Osmar, instructor.
