Basic Field Audio

Description

This workshop provides hands-on training in the basic techniques of field audio recording. Students will shoot interviews as well as hand held documentary style footage both indoors and out, gaining experience with the most commonly used field audio equipment. Beyond exploring the audio features of 911's DVX100 in detail, you will learn how and when to use a lavalier, shotgun and wireless microphone in order to obtain optimal audio for your video project. Also covered will be basic instruction in the use of a field mixer and boom operation.
