Upright/Electric Bass

Description

I've been playing the bass for 18 years now, and have studied all styles. I graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Classical Bass Performance. But while there I also focused on Jazz, Composition, and Music theory. My teachers include Anna Doak, Ben Musa, and Chuck Israels on the Bass. And Roger Briggs in Composition.

Right now I play "Punk-Jazz" with the Seattle based group Das Vibenbass (www.dasvibenbass.com). We frequently tour through the United States and abroad. But I have spent years playing Bluegrass, Hip-Hop, Classical, Rock, Funk, and all those kinds of music you cannot label.

I want to teach the students what they want to learn. I'm not here to steal anyone's money from them. I want the student to benefit from this amazing instrument. The bass is the foundation of all music. Any style requires a good bass player. So tell me what you want and we will learn it. I can show you how to play as DIRTY or as beautiful as you want.
