Belly Dance

Description

Belly dance for fun, fantasy, fitness and freedom. Women and girls of all ages get to know how to move every part of their body and express their feminine energy. Belly dance helps women love their bodies and counter harsh commercial stereotypes. By dancing with each other and watching each other they learn to appreciate and value each others uniqueness. The world of belly dance is rich with color, cultural enrichment, music appreciation, sisterhood and beauty. It is a rejuvenating physical activity and no one is ever too old! May we suggest belly dance for pregnant women as well as girl scouts and CEO's. There are many styles of belly dance and costuming. There is something for everyone, and yes men can belly dance too.
Delilah's dancers are in the Fremont Solstice Parade for 16 years inspiring more women to start bellydancing! Very very powerful!

Pricing Details

Example
An average class is 60-90 minutes and cost for a 6 week course is $80. Saturday, specialty workshops with guest or out of town instructors run more and can be 2 1/2 hour-full day. Afternoon and morning classes can be arranged upon interest. Drop ins for regular classes are $15-20 depending if their is live musicians. Your best price is always in the weekly series. Our studio is very pretty and classes range between 5-20 dancers. Private classes are available. A fun thing to do is book a party for a group of your friends; birthday, wedding or baby shower to have a lesson a performance and celebrate together.

Parking is free and on the street and not bad because we are 1 block from BFDay School with an entire street is available. We are also on a good bus line.

We also offer Middle Eastern hand drum classes as well as ney and zorna.

  After taking several private sessions and numerous classes with Delilah, I certainly feel she is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She pays alot of attention to detail and form. All while being not intimidating, whatsoever. Delilah is all about empowering women, and you definitely feel that way after her classes. Cheers to Delilah!!

  Delilah is the rare instructor that appeals to the dancer's creative mind and body at the same time. My dance spectrum and vocabulary is now aware of Gabrielle Roth and her 5 Rhythms, Lorraine Lafata and healing dancing, and this history of Belly Dancing. Delilah has brought guest musicians, who not only gave us some history of their chosen instrument, but also played as we danced. Through this class and Delilah, I have learned to trust myself, quiet my mind, listen to the music and appreciate my body. The fact that I get to hang out with my girlfriends is icing on the cake!
