Fremont Solstice Parade/Belly Dance

Description

For the past 19 years Delilah has lead dancers of all colors, ages, shapes and sizes as a popular attraction in the Fremont Solstice Parade. They are popularly known as Delilah's Visionary Dancers but in 2004 became The Billion Belly March.
You do not have to be in the parade to take the class.
It's fun to just learn the dances and practice the moves for fun and fitness. Lots of fitness! But we hope you'll want to join us. It's not to complicated, it's lots of fun to dance with your sisters. You won't be alone in the Billion Belly March!
At the beginning of the month of MAY, we begin a series of choreographed belly dance classes. You pick which day. They are lead by Delilah, Dahlia, and Laura Rose. You learn 5-8 short choreographies. We have 4 different classes and we through in a Saturday Costume Workshop to get you dressed up. The Parade is June 20th (I think) On the week leading up to the Solstice Parade we combine all the classes into a massive belly dance rehearsal on the street. So much fun!

Pricing Details

Cost $110
for 6 weeks 6:45 PM 90 -120 minute classes
Tuesday or Wednesday or Advanced Parade Thursday
1 Saturday Costume workshop 2-4:30
2 all dancer rehearsal days on June 17 and 18

Parade Day is voluntary not mandatory
June 20th 10:00 AM- 3:00
You do not have to be a member of the arts Council to participate.
IT'S FREE to participate with us as a banner carrier, flower girl, water bearer,
We also need drummer who can walk and play as well as Zorna players.
