Description
In this hands-on class you will learn all the basics to make your own high-quality fuel. Students will make small batches of biodiesel with different oils and help to operate an "Appleseed" processor to produce several gallons of fuel. The class will provide a thorough introduction to all aspects of biodiesel such as processor design, automated processors, chemistry, quality control, vehicle compatibility, cold weather issues, status of the industry, disposal of wastes, legal issues and organizing a biodiesel coop. Bring a brown bag lunch. Lyle Rudensey, aka BioLyle, is an experienced home brewer.
