Description
Seattle Center for Book Arts is proud to present a 5-week course in Bookbinding! This series will encompass an introduction to bookbinding tools & techniques. It will include the basics of bookbinding; cutting, folding, determining paper grain, etc. Simple books will be constructed, including a variety of pamphlet stitch books, a stab binding with a hard cover, variations on the accordion binding and a case bound (hard cover) book. Bookbinding I is an excellent introduction to beginners into the world of bookmaking. Bookbinding I is taught by SCBA board members and affiliated teachers.
Lisa will teach pamphlet variations on the second week of class.

$170 + $25 materials fee
Full time students receive 50% off the tuition charge.
SCBA members receive a 10% discount.
