Weekend Class will be at 9:00am-05:00pm Sat. Rm2346 SecK1

An introduction to AIDS and HIV for health care workers. Topics include HIV risk exposure, recommended infection control measures, symptoms of the disease process, opportunistic infections and bloodborne pathogens. HIV laboratory test procedures will be reviewed. Outside class activities will be assigned. Meets the Washington State requirement for HIV/AIDS education for health care workers. Prerequisites: Successful completion of English 090. Mandatory decimal grading.
