Masterful coaches of groups and/or teams are proficient in all ICF core coaching competencies and group process work. Group and team coaching is the intersection of the coaching paradigm and group process in service to organizational outcomes. The program invites you to explore this powerful dynamic and add MCC-level competency behaviors to your coaching expertise.
This highly interactive coaching skills course is for professional coaches who seek competence in coaching groups and teams inside organizational systems. Participants explore and expand essential skills for navigating group development processes, group dynamics and the group ‘field’ so that group members raise quality and speed of performance.
Groups, of which teams are a subset type, demonstrate a developmental process, a unique dynamic and a co-creative field that enrich and provide a platform for achieving extraordinary effectiveness. This course emphasizes methods for navigating organizational culture, stakeholders and competing responsibilities of team members so the group:
Sustains solution focus rather than problem focus, Balances results orientation and process orientation.
Achieves effectiveness with both social functions and task functions.
Rapid skill development is enhanced by the participatory nature of the course including personalized mentoring.
Required participant field work and a tele-course follow up structures encourage immediate skill application. Participants create a personalized coach development planning tool and learn processes for sustaining dynamic development.
