Description
A college essay is unlike any other piece of writing you will ever have to create. It's not an academic essay, a cover letter or a short story. No one is asking you to prove a point or explore the scientific method.
Instead, they might ask for a statement of purpose: "why DO you want to attend Podunk University?"
They might ask you for a piece of creative nonfiction: "describe the most meaningful moment of your life and how it relates to the socks you are wearing right now."
Or it might even be the hardest question of all: "topic of your own choice."
Learn all about college essays. Learn who your audience is, what they want to hear, and which essays they've read one million times already.
I will stay with you, one-on-one, through the entire essay-writing process, from brainstorming through font selection and everything in between. We can meet in your home, at a local library, or in the lounge of my building. Revisions can be done via phone and email as well.
I just moved to Seattle from New York City, where I worked as a college admissions counselor and standardized test tutor for over 250 famlies.
