Description
The musical ear is the entire sense of music, including metric and rhythmic sense, perfect and relative pitch sense, sense of musical form, knowledge of music theory. It's the synaesthesia that musicians develop over our lifetimes that separates us as practitioners from bystanders sitting in the audience.
The course is predicated on that every beginning musician has some level of musical ear development, and every advanced musician can develop their ear beyond what level they've attained.
This course is on musical fundamentals, with exercises that improve basic skills like pitch recognition, tonal production, metric and rhythmic integration, and is applicable to every musician's education. It incorporates Alexander Technique, yoga, and borrows from western conservatory as well as Eastern musical teaching methods.
This course is unique in that it gives exercises for developing the basic skills, whereas most ear training courses really consist of comprehensive batteries of tests of your ability to name intervals, etc.
I teach Third Ear Training to groups, too. The course material can be tailored to groups of different ages, sizes, and experience levels, and range from very general to very specific topics. I can teach this material in a week intensive residency or an hour participatory lecture and everything in between.

"Easy & Versatile..."
Review of Andy Zadrozny , September 18, 2008
Andy's been offering his music full-time as both a performer and teacher for so many years that his knowledge of what works & what doesn't makes it easy for us that are less skilled to take it all in.
In addition, I've enjoyed being on the receiving end of his many types of music having danced & sang at several concerts, kirtans, and private gatherings which have left me with a deeper sense of connection to this world.
Thank you, Andy, for your work! Soleil*
