Speak Clearly! There are many American English pronunciation rules that include: * vowel sounds (a, e, i, o, u) * sounds that change (there are several sounds for T, 2 sounds for Th and more) * stresses * speaking with natural rhythm I have developed a website with many online tools that you can use to improve your speech. You can take an online class for $14.95 that tells you everything about vowel sounds and spellings, take private lessons with me or have short video lessons through Skype. On the website, there are free tools you can use, including online tests to see what you know. See www.speakmethod.com. Everyone has different needs. The rules on www.speakmethod.com are based on the standard American English pronunciation used by professional speakers (such as people on TV). I have combined numerous pronunciation sources and also included the ways we teach our children how to read--this helps you to see how Americans think about our language.
