Raising early-stage VC 101 Reviews

This is an amazing opportunity to talk frankly with one of Seattle's premier investors. I am the CEO of an early-stage startup, and although not looking for VC funding right now, wanted to understand the best way to proceed. I am glad I went to him.

Scott is friendly, very knowledgeable and extremely generous with his time. It's obvious that he really likes doing this. He is thorough, thoughtful and frank, which is a great combination. I learnt more in one meeting with him than I have in months reading articles. The best part is that he gives advice and ideas that are actionable. I can clearly articulate my next steps after just one chat with him.

If you have a tech startup, I would highly recommend signing up with Scott before he gets inundated with requests and can't do this anymore.

I went to Scott's VC 101 class and appreciated his specific counsel on the need to revise the approach I was taking with my business model/revenue model, in order to be more successful.

Having that feedback was a critical step in prepping to launch the business in a way that would be most postively received by the largest number of potential users & partners.

This is an incredible opportunity to talk with one of the premier venture investors in the northwest. If you have a tech startup and want to learn more about fundraising and bounce your ideas off someone who knows the tech sector inside and out - take this "class"! Mr. Jacobson provided a thorough and thoughtful analysis of my company and gave generously of his time. I thought this would be an awesome and valuable learning opportunity and it was.

If you are a first-time (or multi-time) entrepreneur looking to learn more about the fundraising process, I couldn't more highly recommend Scott Jacobson as a first person to talk to for an introduction to financing options -- he'll give you unbiased advice regarding your alternatives (and will probably recommend bootstrapping for as long as you can make that work!), and you'll leave more informed about the benefits & risks of the various alternatives.
