Description

Felt is the earliest form of fabric. This hands on workshop explores all forms of felt- making. The class will begin with a digital slide show/video presentation with 300 examples of global artists and the pieces they have made, as well physical examples made by the instructor. Day one will tackle Nuno feting {wet felting with a cloth backing} and flat needle felting {dry felting}. Day two will explore three- dimensional techniques; making a hat, or sculpture via the wet and dry techniques. Please note that although knitted felting will be included generously in the slide show this is not a knitted felting class. Bring a hearty bag lunch. Dress for mess!
