  • "Microfinance n' More"

Review of Dave Schappell , August 18, 2008

Show up with questions! Dave has answers about microfinance and more experience than most on this critical topic. If you're lucky, you might get some insight into how TeachStreet came to be. He's as adept a teacher as he is an innovator.

    Teacher's Response:

It was great meeting with you, Ryan -- sorry to hear about your newfound caffeine addiction, but welcome to Seattle (the land of lattes)! As you explore microfinance more, I look forward to additional discussions.

  • "Super informative, objective information"

Review of Dave Schappell , May 01, 2008

Dave is great. I learned a lot from this class, especially strategies for how to better choose appropriate Microfinance products to fit various situations. Dave's wealth of knowledge and experience of Microfinance coupled with his easy-going personality made this a great use of time and money. I especially appreciated the objective stance he took in proposing ideas and debating topics. It's all too easy to allow personal feelings about politics to bias one's opinions; Dave approaches problems with balance and objectivity leveraging experience from his various backgrounds (banking, entrepreneurship, and product development management) to render the most appropriate argument.

I highly recommended this class to anyone interested in broadening or rounding their understanding of Microfinance from a man with real-world experience.
