    Rubina is the real deal. She sings, dances, and teaches in the traditional folkloric way (from the soul, teaching primarily through oral tradition, direct demonstration/participation), but has all of the technical mastery of form behind her. Weather you are a classically trained musician/singer (or dancer), a total novice, or anywhere in between, you will find her teaching style loving but firm, effective, and powerful. Rubina is also the Matriarch of a family of Flamenco/as, they sing, play, dance, teach and perform together right here in Seattle! As far as I know her dance classes are the only classes in the city accompanied by a live musician. I highly recommend both studying with her, and going to see her perform!
