Subject: Seattle French Horn Classes

I teach horn lessons from my home studio in Victory Heights (just north of Wedgwood). My teaching philosophy is that we're all really singers - some of us sing through instruments instead of vocal cords. My goal is for students to gain the technique and proficiency needed to be able to sing through the horn. I specialize in orchestral training and college prep. I've taught students of many ages from elementary school to adults and welcome anyone with a serious desire to improve, no matter what skill level.
I have a Masters degree from New England Conservatory and have been playing the horn professionally for 15 years. As a freelancer in Seattle, I play frequently with the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera, and have played on many movie and video game soundtracks.
The fine print:
When a lesson is scheduled, we are both making a commitment to to be on time and prepared. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice requires payment for the missed lesson ( barring emergencies). Likewise, students are given as much notice as possible if I need to reschedule. Home practice is essential and expected.
