Description
This series will introduce the concepts of permaculture’s design philosophy for urban spaces and offer techniques for applying ecological principles at home. It begins with a class on observing what resources and systems already exist on your site then moves into shaping and mapping your landscape. The latter part of the series will focus on how to encourage nature’s diversity in cooperation with your specific site and cover ideas on how to conserve and cycle those resources and systems for maximum potential. You will leave this series with a greater understanding of the ecology at work in your backyard and learn ways to integrate the natural systems on your site for a more holistic and self-sustaining garden. Previous experience with permaculture is not required but welcome. Classes can be taken separately or as an entire series.
