German Level 3 Class

Description

The German Level 3 class is for students who have previously taken our Level 2 class or who have the equivalent of 50-60 hours of German instruction taken in a larger group setting.
Students who have taken more than 60 hours in the past, yet are uncertain if this is the right class for them, can call us for an assessment of their German language abilities.
This German class will start with a short review of the contents covered in the previous 2 classes.
In this lower intermediate class you will consolidate your German language skills. You will learn how to speak German learning more complex sentence structures by using not only the present but also the past tense, you will learn how to express surprise, gratitude, offer congratulations, getting someone’s attention and asking and understanding directions. Reading of short articles and texts covering traditions, festivals, German holidays and cultural and geographical landmarks is used to build additional vocabulary, enhance speaking abilities and further enlarge your knowledge of different people and cultures in the German speaking world. Grammar taught covers the present perfect with “sein” and “haben”, subordinate clauses, personal pronouns, modal auxiliary verbs and coordinating conjunctions.
