I'm a graduate of the University of Washington Jazz Studies program and an all around lover of music. I've been playing drums, guitar, bass, and piano for about 15 years and have spent the past 5 teaching and performing full time.
In general I like to keep my lessons fun, relaxed, and still progress oriented. Practicing or playing music should never be a chore, but we all want to get better.
I love mostly rock and jazz, although there are some great musicians to be found in country, hip-hop, and even pop music. There isn't much to my life outside of music, but in the off-chance that you see me without an instrument nearby, I'm probably relaxing somewhere outdoors or working on my house.
