Description

Interested in solar heating and electricity (PV), alternative building systems and materials? We'll briefly cover energy conservation, active solar water heating, hybrid systems, and retrofits. The emphasis will be on passive solar space heating, cooling and daylighting, PVs (photovoltaics) and sustainable design in the Northwest. It works! Lastly, construction and performance details will be discussed. No experience necessary. Instructor is a certified professional building designer, owns Winter Sun Design and has been designing solar green homes and residential solar energy systems since 1987. He is also a co-founder of the NW Eco-Building Guild and past-president of the Solar Washington Assoc.
