1. Italian Phonology, Pronunciation, and Diction;
2. Detailed study of the structure and logic of Italian grammar and generative syntax;
3. Detailed study of the forms, meaning and application of the tenses, aspects and moods of the Italian verb system;
4. Stylistics and the Italian vocabulary of specific situations;
5. Conversational Italian in the context of specific situations drawn from daily life in Italy;
6. Geography and history of Italy
