Description

Jazz Harmony - Level One
• Develop soloing comfort and confidence
• Work on improv drills and exercises in group performance setting
• Learn improvisation tools for practicing and use in solos
• Introduction to composition concepts
• Acoustic piano, drumset and amp provided

Student Requirements
This class is for students learning jazz improvisation who know, or are learning note names, intervals, chord construction (see Jazz Harmony - Level One), rhythmic unit names and beginning notation skills.

Students supply 12-stave manuscript notebook, pencil, and their instrument.

Homework
Students work on weekly improvisation exercises.

Cost: $160 for eight-week session - classes meet one hour weekly.

All ages welcome!

Level One classes build skill and knowledge foundations. People with a head start may be comfortable moving to the next level after one eight week session, others will find it helpful to study longer at Level One.
