Singing with Jazz Trio - Level One

• Work on singing with jazz piano, bass and drums
• Individual and group learning in a guided rehearsal setting
• Material selected by student ability level and interest—charts provided
• Song styles range from ballad to medium tempo
• Sing in final performance (recording available)

Student Requirements
This class is for students interested in singing jazz styles.

Students must come to first class with ideas of songs to sing (or if new to jazz, with a list of favorite songs to sing).

Students are responsible for purchasing recommended recordings of their song assignments.

Students supply 12-stave manuscript notebook and their instrument.

Homework
Students memorize songs and study listening assignments.

$225 for eight-week session - classes meet 1 to 1.5 hours weekly depending on class size.

All ages welcome!

Level One classes build skill and knowledge foundations. People with a head start may be comfortable moving to the next level after one eight week session, others will find it helpful to study longer at Level One.
