Small Ensembles - Level One

• Small combos of similar playing levels—3 to 7 players
• Structured classes with individual attention—music and material assigned based on student levels and needs
• Rhythm section seats limited to one player per instrument
• Acoustic piano, drumset and amp provided
• Final performances

Come join the fun and build your jazz performance skills in a guided rehearsal setting. Work on soloing, accompanying, and playing as a group.

Student Requirements
Punctual attendance and desire to learn to play jazz.

Students supply 12-stave manuscript notebook and their instrument.

Homework
Homework is comprised of playing assignments based on the ensemble music and individual needs.

$275 for eight-week session - classes meet 1.5 hours weekly.

Level One is for students at varying degrees of beginning jazz performance skills. Students work on music and exercises that develop basics of playing jazz and playing jazz in small ensembles.
