The blocks incorporate all three areas of basic language skills - reading, writing and oral communication. Our basic text for this Level is Visions Intermediate. Students are expected to work in their composition books on their original creative writing (journal section), keep track of own reading in the Reading Log section and study key vocabulary in the Glossary section. Additional materials include "Easy True Stories" and "American Streamline" ("Connectuions"). Students are expected to do at least three presentations a quarter, and will participate in the final all-level event in the end of the semester. Students are expected to spend at least 45 minutes working on their literacy home assignments every day.

Homework: Students record their homework in the school planner. They will write their own stories in their journals. Other assignments include pronunciation drills, stories to read and to retell, as well as spelling lists and grammar worksheets.
