Most people who are plopped into the role of managing designers, writers, art directors, and web developers have had precious little training in the fine art of being a boss. If you're not careful, you can damage productivity, play favorites, or-worse yet-destroy morale. In this workshop we will give advice and ideas on: >How to interview and hire >Motivating your team to produce better work >Honestly critiquing creative solutions without crushing spirits >Dealing with problem employees, layoffs, downsizing, and firings >Mastering the art of appreciation.
