Description

The mandolin has a distinctive voice in bluegrass, and a number of players have contributed to that sound. This workshop will look at some different stylings of some of the greats, including Bill Monroe, Jessie McReynolds, Sam Bush and Buck White. Using some of their ideas, particularly in the area of doublestops, participants will have a go at constructing breaks to some standard tunes in the repertoire.
