Our Kinderkarate class is designed to build up a childs confidence, balance, social network, interaction with others, technical skills, teach respect and boundries, and provide a strong sense of self worth for the child. We do this thru basic and advanced martial art techniques, focus drills, skill games, team building exercises, meeting challenges and we work with a wide variety of props and equipment to enhance the childs experience & skill. Teachers report that our students are often 2 to 3 grade levels ahead in development and social skills, when compared with children who are not in our martial art class! We also teach stranger danger, what to do if approached or attacked by a stranger, anti bully skills and general awareness and safety skills. Students will learn a wide varity of martial art techniques from stances, hand & foot skills, balance, dynamic manipulation, obstacle courses (a big favorite for kids!). All classes are taught by Master Jay, 7th degree black belt, who has over 30 years working with youth! Students can advance in rank thru regular testing and this helps teach and enforce goal setting for later in life. Come on in, meet with other parents and have your child try out a class!
