Scooter Safety Training - Novice Rider Course
Our most popular motorcycle course is the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Novice Rider Course (NRC). Instead of motorcycles, students will be riding scooters. This course is aimed at individuals with little or no riding experience (those with experience and their own bike may prefer the IRC). The NRC is designed to provide the skills needed to operate a motorcycle safely and competently. Your training will include classroom instruction and a minimum of 8 hours ON-CYCLE training.

**If a scooter has an engine larger than 50cc or can attain a speed over 30mph, operators are required to have a class "3" (2-wheel motorcycle) endorsement on your driver's license.**
Classroom instruction are held either at Evergreen Safety Council, Renton Technical College, or Lake Washington Technical College. (Please check class schedule through online registration.)
On-Cycle training are held at either Renton Boeing, Kent Boeing or Lake Washington Technical College. (Please check class schedule through online registration.)
