Description
This class addresses the mathematical nature of time and subdivision with a heavy emphasis on strengthening concentration, coordination, independence, and improvisational skills. Exercises are designed to develop a strong internal pulse while focusing on rhythmic and compositional devices such as syncopation, rhythmic calibration, metric modulation, odd meter, rhythmic displacement, diminution, augmentation, retrograde, sequence, etc.
