Description

This class will focus on spoken word poetry and the work of artists involved in poetry slam. We will practice tapping our creativity, crafting images with figurative language and performing our poems. This class digs deep into memory and propels its students forward with dynamic exercises meant to produce stronger writers and stronger performers. This class is taught by Hollis Wong-Wear, a youth slam alum and mentor for Youth Speaks Seattle.
