Poetry as a Daily Practice

Seattle, WA

Ages:
12 to 100 year olds
Skill level:
All difficulty levels
Class Style:
Group Sessions

Description

Writing a daily poem can have tremendous benefits. It will improve your communications. It will show what you are learning in this lifetime. It will inspire many other people.

We will write and edit, read and reflect, give positive feedback and enjoy each others camaraderie.
You will learn to write poetry that feels "true". This class is not about trying to write competitively successful poetry. Though you may go on to publish the poems you've written, this daily practice is chiefly to honor your aesthetic.
You will need a fresh journal, pen and a cup for a hot beverage. Purchase of at least one of my books is highly recommended.
I look forward to meeting you.

Aaron has an incredible amount of enthusiasm, and will encourage and inspire poets to deepen their daily practice. He has discipline and real experience to provide wisdom on the practice of poetry. I am sure this will be an excellent class.
