Description
With your IT experience, you want to successfully manage and deploy an IT project. In this course, you will acquire the necessary skills to plan and implement IT projects that will positively impact your organization.
Project managers are always under severe pressure to complete projects on time and within budget. However, most projects fail to meet these demands and as a result, many projects are terminated early. Successful IT project management requires knowledge and experience. This course is designed to provide you with the skills needed to be a successful project manager in today's rapidly changing world.
Who should attend:
The target student is an IT professional who wants to gain the skills and knowledge required to successfully manage and deploy an IT project. This course will also prepare students for the CompTIA Project+ certification exam. Passing the exam is equivalent to possessing the knowledge and problem-solving skills of an individual with practical IT and project management experience of 2000 hours.
Note: This course does not cover how to use Microsoft Project 2007 -- those skills are covered in Course 5927 Managing Projects with Project 2007.
Note: While this class will help you prepare for the CompTIA Project+ exam, it is NOT a test prep class. Focus of the class is real world skills. You will need additional time outside of class to prepare yourself for the exam.
