Rx Reading Class - grades 1 through 12

Description

This program is appropriate for grades 1 through 12, either as an enrichment activity or as remediation for comprehension and vocabulary difficulties.

Our guaranteed reading program dramatically improves decoding, vocabulary, comprehension, reading rate, and recall. A comprehensive assessment identifies any phonics skill gaps and returns grade level equivalencies for vocabulary and comprehension. We create an individualized instruction plan that begins the program using materials appropriate to your child's abilities. From this baseline, we build vocabulary and comprehension by teaching fundamental reading skills until your child confidently reads at or above their grade level.

We increase a student's reading one grade level for every 32 hours of instruction. Length depends on parent objectives and reading test scores, which are determined after diagnostic testing.
