Lori Wright is a Washington-state certified teacher with over 15 years of tutoring experience. Lori earned her BA in Education from Whitworth College and pursued a Masters in School Counseling at Seattle Pacific University.
Prior to opening The Inquisitive Mind in 1997, Lori provided tutoring and managerial services for two different tutoring centers in King and Snohomish counties. In addition to tutoring, Lori has taught WASL- prep classes at the Denny Community Learning Center, English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes, a Children's Literature Class and assisted with the Sealth Saturday tutorial.
Lori is experienced in the educational programs available to families that complement the regular school curriculum. Consultations with parents, teachers, school administrators, family counselors, academic therapists, vision therapists, and other specialists are frequently an integral element of the academic improvement strategy.
Lori is an active participant in the local Professional Tutors Association and served as the program coordinator for two years. Additionally she attends various seminars each year on the latest educational trends and methodologies. In 2006 she attended the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics conference.
Lori brings to The Inquisitive Mind a unique combination of experience and knowledge in tutoring techniques and intervention strategies. Her personalized and caring attention to detail provides the opportunity for "inquisitive minds" to flourish.
