The ReFashion (recyCouture) classes will help you explore design as you restyle one or more garments of your choice. Individual attention is provided for your project details. The surface design techniques will add to your skill set and boost imagination. It's also a lot of fun!
The Starter Sewing classes are intended to get you familiar with the sewing machine, the tools and the techniques needed to sew a garment or other item. You will learn pattern layout, cutting, simple sewing and how great it feels to "do it yourself"

This class has been very energizing. Deborah is very supportive and has a subtle way of making you believe that you can succeed. I've appreciated how practical the class was and how generous she is with her time. Her teaching style reminds me of the words to a Leonard Cohen song: 'follow me, said the wise man, but he walked behind'. She will get you to do the work while hovering supportively in the background. I trust her to help me translate what's in my imagination into reality.
