Description

This is a class for students who are newcomers and at the beginning of the English language learning process. Dialog and conversation is encouraged as a warm-up activity at the beginning of each period. They practice reading, writing and communication using the Americ's Story (Steck Vauhn) as the main text.

Students will learn communities and how they function, map skills for schools and neighborhood, geography, continents and ocean, hemispheres and Washington state and Seattle. They then begin studying history of the United States following the sequence of the the chapter from the text beginning from the Native Americans.
